From Russian River Valley's cooler northern exposures, this Pinot Noir displays translucent ruby hues and intoxicating aromas of black cherry, violets, and forest floor. Native yeast fermentation and French oak aging create Burgundian complexity - flavors of plum skin, cocoa powder, and exotic spices earned 94 points. The minute-long finish reveals truffle and dried rose petals, making it exceptional with roasted duck or wild mushroom risotto.
