Vendaval Reserva Carménère (Maule Valley, Chile) '22

Vendaval Reserva Carménère is a smooth, full-bodied red from Chile’s Colchagua Valley, crafted from handpicked grapes grown on low-fertility, gravelly alluvial soils. After a cold maceration and stainless-steel fermentation, 25% of the wine is aged for six months in oak barrels. It shows a deep purple hue with aromas of black fruits, chocolate, tobacco, and cherry. The palate is generous and balanced, with ripe tannins and a juicy, lingering finish. Ideal with grilled meats, hearty pastas, or risotto.
