Straight Shooter Pinot Noir 2020 from the Willamette Valley, Oregon, is a silky, seductive wine crafted by winemaker Felipe Ramirez. The fruit is a blend of Pommard and Wadensvil clones,hand-harvested from vineyards planted in both sedimentary and volcanic soils. The wine undergoes a 12-month maturation in French oak barrels (10% new). The result is a medium-bodied wine with red cherry and cranberry aromas, complemented by cherry and spice flavors, smooth tannins, and a spiced, supple finish. It’s balanced, with intensity and depth, showcasing the year’s warm conditions and promising early enjoyment. Maison L'Envoyé, known for its commitment to crafting expressive, terroir-driven Pinot Noir, emphasizes modern, intuitive winemaking to produce wines that reflect their origins while remaining approachable. With a focus on clarity and purity, the Straight Shooter Pinot Noir is a beautiful example of the balance between structure and natural acidity, ideal for immediate drinking or short-term aging.
