Schug Carneros Chardonnay '22

From the cool Carneros AVA straddling Sonoma and Napa, this Chardonnay presents a brilliant golden hue and complex aromas of baked apple, lemon curd, and toasted brioche with subtle floral undertones. The palate is rich yet precise, with a creamy texture balanced by bright acidity and flavors of pear, hazelnut, and a touch of crème brûlée that scored 92 points. Aged 10 months in French oak (30% new) with regular lees stirring, it finishes with impressive length and mineral complexity. A superb expression of California Chardonnay that pairs beautifully with lobster bisque or roasted chicken with wild mushrooms.
