With a bright ruby hue, Scar of the Sea SLO Coast Pinot Noir (San Luis Obispo) offers aromas of wild red berries, ripe cherry, and earthy notes, while the palate showcases flavors of cranberry, red currant, and savory spice. The wine's bright acidity, silky tannins, and touch of coastal salinity provide a long, graceful finish with minerality and finesse. It pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes like herb-roasted chicken, grilled salmon, and mushroom risotto. This Pinot Noir is a vibrant expression of California's Central Coast. Sourced from biodynamic Bassi and Casa Contenta Vineyards near Avila Beach and the organic Marfarm Vineyard in the Edna Valley, it is fermented with native yeast, 25% whole cluster, and aged for 8 months in neutral French oak barrels. Crafted with minimal intervention, this wine is unfiltered and unfined with minimal sulfur. Scar of the Sea, founded by Mikey Giugni, embodies a philosophy of sustainable farming and low-intervention winemaking, capturing the essence of the SLO Coast with each bottle.
