From the Givry appellation, this Pinot Noir displays a brilliant ruby color with garnet reflections. The nose is complex and evolving, with aromas of ripe cherry, rose petal, and subtle notes of clove and damp earth. The palate is medium-bodied and elegant, offering flavors of red berries, black tea, and a distinctive stony minerality. Aged 16 months in French oak (20% new), the wine shows perfect integration of fruit and structure. Earning 93 points for its typicity and balance, this would be superb with coq au vin or roasted game birds.
