Mortellito 'Cala Niuru' Rosso Terre Siciliane (Sicily, Italy) is a light-bodied, refreshing red wine from Sicily, made from a blend of 75% Frappato and 25% Nero d'Avola. The grapes are organically farmed in the limestone-rich soils of Val di Noto. After a 15-20 day fermentation, the wine is aged for 6 months in stainless steel. On the nose, it offers notes of pomegranate, ash, and subtle herbal aromas. The wine is crisp and vibrant, with a clean, slightly salty finish, making it perfect for chilling and pairing with seafood or light dishes. Dario Serrentino’s minimal intervention approach in both the vineyard and cellar highlights the natural character of the wine, producing a wine that is fresh, elegant, and full of personality.
