From high-altitude Viura vineyards in Rioja Alavesa, this mature white Rioja presents a deep gold robe. The complex nose offers intriguing aromas of preserved lemon, lanolin, and toasted almond with emerging petrol notes. The palate delivers remarkable depth - flavors of quince paste, honeycomb, and crushed flint unfold with vibrant acidity (6.4 g/L TA) that earned 93 points for its development. Aged 8 months in French oak with periodic bâtonnage, this 13% alcohol white is at its peak now - sublime with roasted shellfish or creamy cheeses. The 2019 vintage produced whites of surprising longevity in Rioja, with this bottling demonstrating Viura's often underestimated aging potential.
