Lafage Tessellae Old Vines GSM ‘21

This GSM blend from Roussillon shows an opaque ruby color and a complex bouquet of blackberry, violet, and smoked meat. The palate is full-bodied and layered, with flavors of blueberry, espresso, and sweet spices supported by velvety tannins. Made from 60-year-old vines and aged 18 months in oak, it scored 92 points for its depth and aging potential. Pair it with grilled ribeye, wild boar stew, or strong cheeses to match its intensity. The finish is exceptionally long, with evolving notes of dark fruit, leather, and spice that showcase the potential of old-vine Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre.
