La Follette Los Primeros Pinot Noir '21

This single-vineyard Pinot from the Petaluma Gap shows a translucent garnet color with brilliant clarity. The perfumed nose offers layers of wild strawberry, rose hip tea, and an intriguing forest floor complexity from 18 months in neutral French oak. On the palate, it's all finesse - flavors of cranberry coulis, orange zest, and a touch of sous bois dance across silky tannins, with acidity that Wine Advocate (94 pts) calls "nearly Burgundian in its cut." Pair with duck breast or wild mushroom risotto. Cellar potential: 2025-2033.
