Keenan Napa Cab Franc '21

From a tiny 1.5-acre block at 1,800 ft elevation, this Cabernet Franc is aromatic brilliance in a glass. Deep garnet in color, it bursts with perfumed notes of raspberry, rose petal, crushed gravel, and a hint of tobacco leaf—hallmarks of Spring Mountain’s iron-rich soils. The palate is medium-bodied but intense, with flavors of red currant, black tea, and a peppery finish that Wine Advocate (94 pts) praises for its "Loire-like precision with Napa depth." Aged 20 months in 30% new oak, it’s perfect with duck breast or mushroom Wellington (drink now–2035).
