From the organically farmed Sacrashe Vineyard in Napa's eastern hills, this Cabernet presents an opaque purple-ruby core. The profoundly complex nose weaves together crème de cassis, cedar, and crushed violet with subtle graphite nuances. The palate delivers both power and polish - flavors of blackberry preserves, espresso bean, and roasted herbs unfold with velvety tannins that earned unanimous 98-100 point scores. Aged 22 months in French oak (80% new), this 15% alcohol wine finishes with a minute-long crescendo of fruit and spice. Decant for herb-crusted lamb or cellar until 2045+ - the 2021 vintage represents Hall's most monumental release to date.
