Il Sasso Amarone della Valpolicella Classico ‘21

This classic Amarone offers an opulent nose of dried cherry, fig, and chocolate-covered raisins with complex notes of tobacco and incense. The full-bodied palate is rich yet balanced, with velvety tannins and enough acidity to carry flavors of black fruit compote, molasses, and exotic spices that scored 95 points. Aged 30 months in a combination of large oak casks and barriques, it finishes with incredible length. While approachable now thanks to the excellent 2020 vintage, this will continue evolving for another 15+ years. Pair with braised short ribs or aged Gorgonzola to experience Veneto's most legendary wine at its best.
