From two of the estate's most prized blocks planted in 1935 and 1989, this old-vine Zinfandel presents an inky purple-black core with ruby highlights. On the palate, the wine achieves near-perfect balance - the massive concentration of flavors (blueberry liqueur, dark chocolate, roasted game) is matched by vibrant acidity (5.8 g/L TA) and refined tannins that earned unanimous 96-98 point scores. Aged 16 months in a combination of American and French oak (40% new), this 15.5% alcohol Zinfandel from the stellar 2021 vintage finishes with a kaleidoscope of fruit, spice, and mineral elements that linger for well over a minute.
