A benchmark expression of Trentino's native grape showing opaque purple hues and brooding aromas of black plum, graphite, and crushed pepper. Whole-cluster fermentation and aging in large oak casks create formidable structure with flavors of blueberry compote, bitter chocolate, and iron-like minerality that earned 96 points. The endless finish unfolds with licorice and volcanic earth, requiring a three-hour decant for venison stew or wild boar ragu to appreciate its monumental depth.
