From one of Barolo's most prestigious crus, this wine opens with an intoxicating bouquet of red cherry, licorice, and crushed rose petals with emerging notes of truffle and forest floor. The palate is powerful yet refined, with firm tannins balanced by vibrant acidity and flavors of red berries, exotic spices, and stony minerality that earned 96 points. Aged 30 months in large oak casks, it's remarkably approachable for a young Barolo but has the structure to age gracefully for 20+ years. Decant for several hours and pair with wild boar pappardelle or aged Parmigiano to experience Serralunga's regal terroir.
