The wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation in old Burgundy barrels, where it matures for 8 months, developing depth and texture. Domaine Couturier Bourgogne Blanc is a vibrant and refined Chardonnay from the southern Mâconnais region of Burgundy, produced by the Couturier family, which has been making wine in the area for generations. The vineyard, located near the village of Loché, benefits from a diverse range of soils, including schist and calcareous clay, perfect for cultivating complex and expressive Chardonnay. The grapes are handpicked from 15- to 20-year-old vines, focusing on sustainable farming practices, including organic and biodynamic methods, certified in 2021 and 2022, respectively.
