From old vines in the Corcelette lieu-dit, this Morgon displays a deep ruby color. The nose is profound and complex, offering layered aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, violet, and a distinct mineral, earthy undertone. The palate is medium-bodied and structured, with finer but more present tannins and a vibrant acidity that supports flavors of plum and a hint of forest floor. The finish is longer and more serious. Sourced from vieilles vignes in sandy soils, it is aged in large, neutral barrels, which adds structure and complexity to the wine's deeper fruit profile without oak flavor. Earning 93 points for its depth and authenticity, it is an excellent match for grilled duck, coq au vin, or herb-crusted pork tenderloin.
