From 90-year-old vines in Morgon's granitic soils, this wine glows with deep ruby tones and a complex nose of black raspberry, violet, and crushed stone. The winemaker's extended maceration and aging in old foudres create remarkable concentration while maintaining vibrant acidity. Flavors of plum skin, bitter chocolate, and a pronounced mineral edge earned 95 points. The endless finish reveals layers of licorice and dried flowers.
