Clos Roussely ‘Orange’ Vin de France is a unique skin-contact orange wine made from a blend of 60% Sauvignon Blanc, 30% Menu Pineau, and 10% Chenin Blanc. This wine showcases classic orange wine aromas of orange peel, apricot, and citrus pith, complemented by flavors of candied orange peel, stone fruits, and clay minerality. The extended skin maceration process enhances the wine's deep color and structure, with tannins balanced by lively acidity. The vineyard, located in the heart of Angé near the Cher River in the Touraine region, is certified organic and has been farmed sustainably since 2007. The estate spans 8 hectares, with vines as old as 80 years, grown on clay-limestone soils with flint, ideal for expressing the best of Sauvignon Blanc. The vineyard is worked using horses, maintaining plant and animal diversity. Vincent Roussely, the fourth-generation winemaker, produces wines that reflect his commitment to quality and sustainability, with a focus on natural winemaking techniques.
