From gnarled, 110-year-old Garnacha vines rooted in Priorat’s iconic llicorella (schist) soils, this wine is a living relic of Mediterranean viticulture. Brick-red with amber glints, its nose unfolds like an ancient apothecary’s cabinet—dried fig, star anise, cured leather, and a whisper of palo santo incense. The palate is ethereal yet profound, with flavors of tamarind paste, black truffle shavings, and a ferrous minerality that Wine Advocate (96 pts) calls "liquid terroir." Aged 24 months in 600L French oak foudres, its tannins have melted into the wine’s sinewy core, making it peak now–2028. Serve at 60°F with slow-braised wild boar or mushroom-stuffed ravioli with black truffle beurre noisette.
