Château Lamourette Sauternes '16

Château Lamourette Sauternes is a classic dessert wine made from 90% Semillon, 6% Muscadelle, and 4% Sauvignon Blanc grapes, all affected by Botrytis (Noble Rot) to intensify sweetness. This wine offers vibrant flavors of marmalade, dried mango, and apple blossom, with the trademark Sauternes acidity providing balance and complexity. Produced by the Leglise women since 1860, the estate's 10 hectares of vines are over 40 years old and grown on sandy-clay soils above granite. Fermented in small steel tanks and aged in cement, the wine maintains freshness and aromatic qualities. Ideal pairings include Stilton, foie gras, and lemon tart.
