Brevity Chardonnay Russian River Valley '20

From the Goldridge soils of Russian River, this mature Chardonnay presents a deep gold robe. The nose offers complex aromas of baked apple, honeycomb, and toasted hazelnut with emerging petrol notes. The palate delivers remarkable depth - flavors of quince paste, marzipan, and crushed seashell unfold with vibrant acidity (6.3 g/L TA) that earned 94 points for its evolution. Aged 16 months in French oak (40% new), this 14.5% alcohol white is at its peak now - sublime with lobster thermidor or aged Comté. The 2020 vintage produced Russian River Chardonnays of uncommon longevity.
