OZV Red Blend '21

From Ente's walled monopole, this is pale gold with a nose of lemon curd, toasted hazelnut, and liquid stone. The palate is dense yet vibrant—flavors of yellow apple, brioche, and a finish that Decanter (97 pts) calls "a cascade of minerals." Aged 20 months in 15% new oak, the 2018 vintage (harvested August 28th) shows 14% alcohol without heat. Best now–2035 with lobster poached in brown butter. 80 cases produced.
